About OctoLedger
A household-first financial workspace, built on the idea that understanding your money should not cost you control of it.
Why it exists
Household money is spread across several accounts, and the statements that describe it are the most reliable record anyone has. OctoLedger is built around those statements rather than around a bank connection: the data belongs to the household, the workspace stays small and deliberate, and personal data is not sold.
Who builds it
OctoLedger is a product of OcularIT Solutions, Inc., a data science and analytics consulting firm based in Sterling, Virginia. The company's consulting work is enterprise data engineering and analytics — ingestion pipelines, warehouse modelling and reporting for large operational systems — and OctoLedger applies the same discipline to a household's statements.
The firm is small and founder-led: Neil Jones is its President, and the product is built and operated by the company itself.
How it is built
The product is built around behaviour that can be checked rather than asserted: database-enforced isolation, testable import pipelines, and an audit trail for privileged actions. Where something is unfinished, the product says so rather than pretending otherwise. If you want to inspect how that works before trusting it with your statements, ask and we will show you.
Where it is going
OctoLedger is pre-production and in a private family beta. Access is limited while the import, review and reconciliation paths are completed and tested, and this page will say plainly when that changes.
